You can do this at work or even at home. Just ask your best friend to come over for a quick lesson and then test your new skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Set goals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Setting goals helps you&nbsp;stay focused on the skills you want to\nlearn so&nbsp;you&nbsp;don&#8217;t get distracted by the many&nbsp;other things on\nyour to-do list. What?s more, goal-setting provides much-needed&nbsp; direction and a clear path for decision\nmaking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But don?t stop there. Once you know your learning goals, write them down. According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dominican.edu\/academics\/lae\/undergraduate-programs\/psych\/faculty\/assets-gail-matthews\/researchsummary2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">study<\/a> conducted by psychologist Gail Matthews, people who wrote down their goals were 33 percent&nbsp;more successful in achieving them compared to those who didn?t.
