I simply don’t want to be distracted by notifications so that I can focus on my work, but I don't want to miss out either...

Hi Lindsay,

It's perfectly understandable - sometimes you need to keep away from all interruptions so you can focus better. Hubgets helps you do that.

Once you set your status to Busy, you'll no longer get distracted by incoming pop-ups letting you know you have a new message or any other kind of update, actually. You won't be getting any incoming calls either. All incoming calls will be redirected to Voicemail. Hubgets will keep track of all these events, so you will see what's been going on while you were busy - new direct messages, new Topic updates, missed phone calls, new activities on the Team board.

However, if a teammate has an important message that needs your attention, he or she can push the message by placing (!) before typing in the message. This is a shortcut that will trigger a notification pop-up, so you will see it and know that it's something worth seeing.

A more detailed explanation on how to use the Hubgets status settings is available in this blog article: Beat Distractions and Stay Focused at Work with Hubgets.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the elaborate answer, it does help! So I am still getting everything, even though I set my status to busy. Great!
